Our Process 
Are you a walk-in studio?

No. We are a private studio meaning we require bookings for any and all services. Even the address isn’t given until an appointment is booked.
We are based on private property in Buckland, Pukekohe.

Do you use needles or guns?

We strictly use tri-bevel piercing needles for all piercings. This gives us the most accuracy, and gives you a healthy healing process with minimal trauma.

What makes you different?

We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. We offer one on on appointments so you have our complete, undivided attention with no distractions.

Crimson Oddities

We create handcrafted entomology framers in New Zealand, thoughtfully designed to celebrate the natural beauty and intricate details of preserved insects and arachnids. Each piece is carefully assembled by hand, combining ethically sourced butterflies, moths, spiders and scorpions with timeless framing techniques to create striking, museum-styled displays.

All species are obtained from trusted suppliers who operate with the appropriate permits and follow responsible, ethical sourcing practices. We are committed to honoring the integrity of each specimen while showcasing its unique form, colour, and structure.
